Trencadís — Gaudí's own invented technique. He took broken tiles, smashed ceramics, shattered glass — and assembled them into something that couldn't have existed any other way. The Sagrada Família. Park Güell. The broken made permanently beautiful. Two rounded amethyst forms meeting. Five triangular metal claws. Geometric coral mosaic. Mother of pearl diamond-shaped inlay around the band.
